Our Mission
A portal is a gateway to information – our goal is to provide information and offer links to other sources of information on the web in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorders and developmental disabilities.
Our philosophy is that every individual is entitled to a nurturing home, the support of family and friends, recreational and social connections, and the opportunity to realize his or her unique potential as a participating citizen in our society. By providing information and making accessible tools for families, professionals, and persons with intellectual disabilities, we seek to promote their inclusion in the community at large.
We recognize that the concept of inclusion can be defined and seen from a variety of perspectives. By presenting the opportunity for open dialogue and offering access to these various viewpoints, we believe that we can promote better understanding. We do not specifically endorse any one approach or one organization’s efforts and encourage you to consult many sources of information on your journey to knowledge.
